I haven't figured all this blog stuff out.  If I take time to make projects, I don't keep up with the reading.  If I don't read, I don't know things that are going on.  Things like this:

(Actually it is not MY daybed, it belongs to The Reader.  I just made it for her) Whisperwood Cottage had a little party with a great prize - a feature at Cottages & Bungalows magazine.   ARGH!  Wouldn't that be ultra cool?  To be featured in a magazine!!!! How fun would THAT be?  Alas, I did not win, but since I haven't read enough this week, I didn't even know until they picked the winners.  I didn't even get a chance to get all nervous and excited.  Didn't even get to write up my acceptance speech.  Didn't even get to pretend I didn't care.  Didn't even get to say how all the other contenders were so much more deserving than I was.....

Sigh.

Shrug.

I must move on.

Check out the winners. Pretty good stuff!  Click on the picture to check them out more thoroughly.

This (sorta) Old Life - winner #1
Funky Junk Interiors - Winner #2

Actually all of the contenders were pretty fab.  I was a little partial to this sweet little vignette from A Sort of a Fairytail.

Or this sleeping porch from Maple & Magnolia - which I don't think there is anyone in blogland that isn't suffering palpitations of jealousy over this wonder of nature:

It makes me want to move to a farm, or at least add on to my house... dream.........imagine..............dream................push back jealousy.................admire..............dream...........................sigh.............................................................

oh yea, I was talking about me.

I will be back to this party.  I will try, try, try again.  Because a magazine feature would just be cool.  Way cool.

I may have another post today as I should be finishing up at least one of my Pinterest Clearinghouse projects today.

Later baby.

Make something wonderful today!

Karen

Hi Karen--
Thanks so much for the link to our blog! Your daybed is awesome, and it's clear to me why you were a contender. And I also really like the Sort of Fairytale shelves. I thought all those final projects were really great, each in a different way. And I hear you on the challenge of keeping up! So glad to have discovered your blog--

I need a loop-assistant! I didn't know about the contest until I read Funky Junk this morning! You sure deserved to get in the contest! Congrats on THAT!
