The Soulful Sparrow

I'm back in Chicago again - and looking for places to visit.  But I haven't even posted about the favorite place I visited 2 weeks ago.  I promised myself that I would get this post done before I allowed myself to go shop hunting - so here goes.

If you live anywhere near Elgin, Illinois (to me that means within 3 hours) you MUST visit The Soulful Sparrow.

It may be my favorite shop anywhere right now.

Just so DANG charming.

Beautiful.

Inspiring.

Peaceful.

Wonderful.

Filled with old stuff.

Best birdcages on the planet.

When I get my bicycle and paint it pink it is going to have polka dots.

I give them my academy award for the best use of old wheels ever.

And then there are the chairs where the clothes hang.  I want a loft where I hang my clothes from old chairs.

I'm going to go back this week.  I just can't help it.

If they still have this mirror, I am going to buy it. Please don't buy it first...

The owners of this fabulous shop are Judy Walsberg and Mary Pierce.  What talent!  And they take care of the birds.

This is Judy Walsberg.  She was great fun to meet.  I liked her very much!  She's cute.

Check out the Soulful Sparrow!
Drop in: 10 Douglas Ave.  Elgin, Illinois
Give them a call:  1 (224) 223-7718

Make something wonderful today!  I'm going shopping...

You can tell a midwestern girl when she says "within 3 hours." I am the same way! And I am going to Chicago maybe next summer?

I KNOW!!! RIGHT?!!! Luckily i live just over a half hour from this INCREDIBLE store with the sweet shop owners!! {although, i've been known to travel the 3hr thing, haha}
I'm going to link your post to the one we did because you've captured even more personality.....enough can not be said about this place!!
Thank you for stopping by our space for a visit...next trip into town give us a head's up and we'll treat you to lunch. If you're back in ChiTown this week, see if you can put Room 363's grand opening in Naperville on thursday in the trip itinerary.....Ask the Soulful Sparrow---they'll tell you that this store will get the ol' heart a pounding also!

Between 21 1/2 to 22 hours...it may be a while before I'm able to stop by. If you go again, take some more pictures! These were great. I loved some of the ideas they incorporated! Such creativity!

What a fun place! The clothes-hanging-from-the-chairs trick is brilliant!

So many beautiful vignettes!! I used to live in Indy (maybe close to the 3 hour limit) and never went ... now I'm bummed. :)

What a fun store! I see why it's your favorite! I got a lot of inspiration from seeing these pictures... those bird cages are fabulous and I've been considering painting and hanging up my bicycle somewhere in the new house... I don't use it to exercise, so why not to decorate?!!!

I love those chairs! for hanging and displaying ...such a great idea.

I pinned it... I'm looking for a place to use this idea. I love it.
