In case you haven't heard, I have a major love affair going on with Christmas trees. I started collecting/making all forms of trees many years ago and have managed to build quite a collection. Over the last few days I have photographed a few of them. I have found that no matter how beautiful I find the tree to be I don't have the patience to artfully stage and photograph each one of them.
This is one of three tall skinny trees that I purchased one year when I decided that my living rooms were probably always going to be too small to hold a traditional tree. I used to put them all together in a bunch. Now I usually separate them and use them in different rooms. This year I used two in the dining room and one in the guest room. I flocked one of them back when I had some flocking. I usually use all my kids ornaments on this one.
I LOVE this tree. It reminds me of a Charlie Brown tree, without the ugly. I don't use lights on this tree because it doesn't really need lights. It is a great showcase for my ornaments.
Just some of my varied collection.
The other two green trees. This year I used them in the dining room with all my silver and white ornaments. I used galvanized buckets to hold them.
And last but certainly not least - my column. He's really not a tree. But he thinks he is. He's big and strong so I don't argue. That's not all but it's all I'm going to photograph. Don't forget about my pine cone trees! Oh, and the silver ones in my silver vignettes.
What's your favorite tree? Do you have 37 trees like me?
Make something wonderful today!
