A Little Sunshine...

Do you see it? Do you see what I see? That grey area at the bottom left and the back right of the picture?

That's a shadow. Shadows are a sure sign of bright sunshine. I love shadows. Especially in early March.  In the bottom right quadrant of the picture the snow is about two feet deep. This is where a lot of the snow from the driveway gets shoveled. Piles of snow melt much more slowly than a regular layer of snow. It would have to be about 45 degrees outdoors for this pile to melt.

But I have hope.

Two feet of hope.

Enough hope that I took down the winter wreath from the front door.

Enough hope that I got out the hydrangea petals I saved from my Limelight Hydrangea.

The same ones I made my Valentines Day/hoping for spring garland with...

Enough hope that I pulled the leaves off of my "fail" copycat wreath I made at Christmas time and glued the little flowerettes onto the twigs.

And finally, enough hope that I hung it on the front door.

A public announcement that I have fallen head over heals in hope for spring.

It all makes me feel a bit vulnerable...

Make something wonderful today!

Love the desire for spring...tis the season that makes you feel of a new chance....but snow does bring moisture and that is a very important issue of late across the country...I so hope if you can ship snow to Wyoming to my Sister, or Colorado to my Brother in law they both are in dire need of snow...both to feed the rivers that poor water south and in to the breadbasket....and both areas last year had fire issues...so while in Texas I have seen Daffodile's we need rain are lakes are low again....so if you can ship some snow as it falls...and if you have too much...Love love those Hydrangeas gorgemegousssse pretty

Suddenly it's in the 30's again...in VIRGINIA! I know I'm the official Spring Scrooge but I'm getting caught up now and I think I'm ready for Spring. I saw some green grass on the edge of that shadow......

My hope for you is that you continue to see the shadows, every day. We are supposed to be getting 10 inches of "hope" tonight. YAY us! (not) :)

We had sun and temps that were positively balmy this past weekend. Today is driving cold rain again, but we're declaring winter officially on its way out. I love it when it comes, and I love it when it goes. Hope your spring arrives sooner rather than later.

I do hope you get an early spring. I know you are getting deluged with the cold and snow. Keep the faith. You'll be gardening in no time.

Tomorrow - tomorrow - I love ya - tomorrow - you're only a day away!
And thanks for the reminder - I still have my wreath up on the front door too LOL - I love your new spring one!

I sure HOPE your snow has mostly melted by now. I think our yard is the only one left in our whole area that still has some. :( Well half of it does anyway. I seen my Hellabores have some buds about to emerge soon! So excited for spring!
