Where Did August Go?

So it's August 25th and I've written exactly 4 blog posts this month.

I've done a lot of stuff.

I've taken a lot of pictures. Even edited them.

But I haven't blogged about any of it.

Yet.

One thing I have been doing...

Cleaning up after my little kitten, Sammy.

He's gone from a little angel who fell asleep in all the cutest positions...

To a feisty little sucker who gives new life to the statement "curiosity killed the cat"

He's particularly interested in all things bathroom.

He's fallen into my bath twice.

He attacks all things with gusto.

Guess that will teach me to put the toilet paper on the roll.

He has a special fascination with Q-Tips.

And when one angle doesn't work - there is always another.

He fights them into submission.

No less than 126,000 of them.

He doesn't even clean his ears first.

He loves his bear (the one I got from Shaw Floors at Haven).

Goes right for the throat every time.

He sits behind me on the couch and plays with my hair until his claws and my hair are inextricably linked.

He loves protein shakes much more than he likes his own food.

He can successfully jump to the top of the stove.

He still chases his tail

He follows me wherever I go.

When I go to the bathroom he likes to sit behind me.

Yes. BEHIND me.

No. I don't have any pictures of that.

He has broken down 10% of the impenetrable wall that is his sister.

She is her daddy's girl. And she doesn't have much need for a brother.

Very soon he will get his cat vasectomy. And he will change.

And he will get older and spend his days sleeping and eating and walking around and sitting in people's laps and sleeping and licking himself and eating and sleeping and laying with me on the couch and sleeping and walking around and looking out the window and hanging out in the office while Mr. Quirky works and sleeping and - well - you know....

And I will miss my little energetic bouncing bundle of fur.

And will love my Man Sam.

Make something wonderful today!

Our new puppy Little Lulu sounds like she would have fun playing with Sammy. She steals q-tips, sits behind me on the window seat and removes the band from my ponytail. I tell myself this too will pass. She does sleep a lot so I get things done.

Sammy is precious!

Lol, our Pippin is two and still quite the brat--she attacks mt toes very early in the morning. Ah but I do love her. Enjoy your kitty!

Maybe you could get Q tips and Charmin to sponsor your blog then Sam could keep his male parts.

Aww such a cute kitten. I love the pic. So tiny. They are little rascals with attitude for sure!

I love my cats, but I keep thinking "kitten" and then my husband reminds me that my quest to become "that crazy lady with all the cats" might be premature.

And what are those black things in your bathroom? Is that licorice?!? Because that would totally rock.

How fun to see! I wish Sam wasn't allergic to cats...I'd probably become a cat lady.

Kitty has a lot of fun in the bathroom! He's too cute to get mad at. I'm allergic to cats, too.
Does Kirby think your hair clips are licorice?

How adorable ! My little dog would love a kitten but they just seem to hiss at him. The neighbours little cat Rosie, is always coming in OUR garden and having a go at my poor dog. He just desperately wants to make friends !

He is sooooo cute. I remember those days. But wait, they still do that to the toilet paper and the Q-tips. HAHA SHH - Don't tell anyone, but I have 12 little rascals. All rescues. The last 5 were a MaMa and her 4 babies in my yard three years ago. I could not find anyone to take them and I just couldn't let them run free and have more babies. So little by little I had them spaded and neutered. I guess I'm the crazy cat lady. I even have a plaque that says so. HAHA. Enjoy him. He is so cute.

Sammy is certainly a cutie. He's the perfect colors for you. I know you love black and white. He matches the bathroom so well too. Kittens are so much fun. Enjoy him thoroughly.
