That reminded me that, indeed, there was a time here that the sun did shine and my back porch was not covered in snow.
It also reminded me that I did the post as a guest post, but had never posted it here.
And that is such a shame.
Because she's a beauty.
She was very ugly.
Bless her heart.
She wasn't aging well.
She got a little skin resurfacing.
I used:
2 coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White
a little Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Coco to accent
2 coats of Annie Sloan Clear Wax
a little bit of Annie Sloan Dark Wax
That's it.
Isn't she lovely?
I wish I could see her again.
But she lives with someone else.
Sometimes you just have to learn to say goodbye.

At least you didn't just kick the old lady out because she was ugly.
What a great job you did on that piece.
That must have been a sad day when you had to wave goodbye as the old lady went down the road. xo Diana
Gorgeous! That is a real treasure!

You did a beautiful job on this lady :) I love the color combination!
She's a beauty, a one in a million girl.
Oh that is a beauty! I'm lucky to have my very own buffet transformed with the help of YOU! Of course..I'm going to have to paint it again because NOTHING is green in my new home. Can you believe it??
It's like beauty and the beast, the buffet was beasty looking and you transformed her into a beauty! Love that Annie Sloan Old White and use in our home often! Lovely, lovely, great job woman!
A lovely old dame like that deserves the beautiful make over you gave her. I am sure she is quite happy in her new home. And, yes, I did notice you mentioned the Quick Fire hydrangeas again!
I couldn't have let her go - seriously I have a hard time with pieces no where near as gorgeous as this one!
Don't know how I missed this last summer but wow Karen this may just be my all time favorite makeover!!!
Beautiful job!
xoxo
