Hey there! Happy Friday!
Last week I repainted a dresser that had been hanging out in Vera's Daughter for way too many months. It really was getting lonely and really wanted to be sold. But no one wanted to buy her...
So I gave her a new outfit.
Just a little creamy white - Italian Ivory by Paint Couture, and grey - British Grey by Paint Couture, some antiquing - RECLAIM Antiquing Glaze by Caromal Colors, and wax - Maison Blanche Amber Antique Wax.
You can't tell from the before picture, but the sides of this dresser were yellow and white stripes. Yuk. It took three coats to cover them up. The rest only took two coats.
Sometime in the future I will talk more about Paint Couture paints. But for now I'll just say they are acrylic paints with a flat finish that, like chalky paints, are low prep or no prep, and are finished off with wax, or glaze, or lacquer.
I think she is a beauty.
It was like a breath of fresh air after that troublesome Old Lavender piece (which turned out beautifully and has sold by the way).
Have a great weekend!
