A Very Crooked Table - Again

A long time ago,

Like 2 years ago,

I bought this table.

It was a little crooked.

And fuzzy.

And dirty.

I think it was the curved table top that left me baffled though.

It has just been hanging out in the garage all this time. Waiting to be loved.

So when I wanted a different table for my back porch this summer, I thought "now is the time". . .

"now is the time to put her out of her misery."

I got out the heat gun and stripped the paint off the top.

It wasn't easy.

I had to get out the chemicals.

Then I sanded and sanded and sanded and sanded . . .

And I used a couple of coats of Miss Mustard Seed Hemp Oil.

The top's still a little curvy but it doesn't seem quite as convex as it used to be.

I think it will hold a glass of wine.

The legs are still gorgeous.

I'm leaving them just as they are.

They have lots of bubbles on them now.

Don't know what is causing it.

Don't you wish you had legs like that?

This lower tier is so ugly it's cute!

At least it wasn't fuzzy like the top was.

I think she's beautiful.

Someday soon I'll have the porch ready for summer.

At least I hope.

Have a great weekend!

I think your cute table has lots of character. I like the weathered wood top with painted legs.

Your porch is already looking pretty spiffy. Love the green wicker chairs!

It's charming Karen!
And I love a little wonky design on old furniture - as long as it holds a glass of wine and a planter then she's doing what she was built to
do, which is look beautiful
( on a back porch :)
I'd love her in my back yard !

I love your crooked table! It has so much personality!!! It reminds me of that nursery rhyme:

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house

Have a terrific week!! :)

I sent you an email about participating in a blog tour and have not heard back from you. I contacted one of the other people I asked and she said the email looked funny and she ignored it. After reading it, she is on board.

I wondered if that was the case with you.

So, please respond to this comment so I can send you the information in the reply.
