News!

Good morning!

I'm writing you from sunny Oklahoma! It was so nice to wake up to clear, sunny skies this morning. I know at home it is quite cold and rainy today. Yep, it snowed the two days before I left town.

I'm out in web-land today over at Junk Chic Cottage being spotlighted in her Saturday Spotlight: Life Behind the Blogger!

Hi Karen! It was nice to meet you through Kris's spotlight feature. I love your style, and it sounds like we have a lot in common. Except, well, my toenails aren't painted blue. Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your grandson. You are going to have a ball with him. Now I'm going to spend some time browsing your blog. ~ Nancy

Hi Karen, visiting from Junk Chic Cottage. I didn't realize while reading your feature that you were a familiar face. I've followed your posts on various social media and enjoyed your sense of humor and talents.

As for your surprise...Karen, be prepared to have your heart completely stolen. Instead of leaving your heart in San Francisco, I promise you it will be eternally left in Oklahoma. My first was born on March 21st and I had not idea the depth of love I would feel for my little man. Enjoy every second of Grandmahood!

As for not venturing the 10 miles north..."how dare you"! LOL I'm a Canuck and highly recommend you come visit. I promise we're a friendly bunch and you will enjoy your time spent on Canadian soil.

Congrats on the feature but even more...on being a GRANNY! In a state where it's sunny and not winter still! I hope you took your ugly slippers with you- that's something I can't do without (mine look a lot like yours). Have fun while you're away!

Marie Blackburn - It's more like 5 miles south!

Congratulations Karen! We have a bet if the Grandbaby will shift you out of Michigan.

Karen!!! I loved reading all about you! I think we truly are kindred spirits in a quirky, eclectic kind of way. And that grandbaby... Oh, you will hear a choir of angels singing above you that first time you hold him. Seriously, you will. Goosbumps, teary eyes, and angels singing - it really happens. And afterwards, he can do no wrong. Congratulations!!! We are about to get g'baby #4 in May and g'baby #5 in June. And each one is so precious. I mean, I loved my children; but this is love on a whole other level! ;)
