Some Things - Possibly 28

Hello!

I'm glad you're here!!!

Some thoughts that are running through my mind today . . .

1. I hear that beard and chest hair plugs are a thing now. I guess as a woman, that I should understand the depth of insecurity that would motivate me to have hair plugs put in my face so I could sport a "grunge beard" - BUT I DO NOT!

2. What is it about fall that makes me want to SIT with or without a blanket?

3. Could it be connected to the fact that fall is the perfect sleep-in weather?

4. How is it that all the things that have been running through my mind all morning have now left my mind?

5. Is anyone as fascinated as I am with Bendie Irwin on Dancing With The Stars? How is it that she is so wonderful?

6. I've been revisiting the books of Colleen McCullough - reading Morgan's Run. Do you remember The Thorn Birds? Ahhh. I loved that book! Colleen McCullough has such a knack for making you care so much about her characters.

7. I stayed up until (at least) 2:00 a.m. for the last 3 nights to watch The Presidents Cup.

8. Yes, I am one of those people who find golf compelling.

9. Sometimes.

10. I haven't colored my hair since April. A whole lotta' grey going on here.

11. What has happened with baseball? The play-offs just started and 5 players have been injured - enough that they will miss the remainder of the play-offs.

12. Did you know that today is National Bootie Day - Booties, as in ankle high boots. Stupid.

13. I keep re-thinking that whole beard hair plug thing. ARGH!!!!! If you really want to spend that much money, help somebody with their college tuition.

14. I went to the Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio a couple of weekends ago. Then my phone promptly died. 3 million pictures right down the drain.

15. I did put a couple of pics on Instagram if you haven't seen enough already.

16. I also went to the Springfield (Ohio) Flea Market Extravaganza.

17. If I had to choose which one to go back to I pick the flea. More raw materials available.

18. In two days I'm going to visit the love of my life.

19. And because I need to ready myself for that, I will let you go with just one more thought . . .

20.

21. I like #3. Step forward.

Hi Karen, Can't people just find the craziest things to spend money on. Really?? They better save all those hair plugs for their heads. LOL. I think your baby is adorable and will want lots of grammy hugs from you. Blessings to all of you, xoxo,Susie

Whenever I see a 28 things post, I always want to visit. #13 - AMEN, sista! Hmmm, I wondered about the CL Fair, and WV's Fiesta Tent Sale capitalized on the event with their first ever traveling tent sale coinciding with the CL Fair (but theirs was in the Expo Center). Yes, Springfield is really good, but it used to be even better in years past. Too much new stuff made to look old is going around for my tastes, but still a lot of good dealers too (mostly in the fields).
Your grandbaby is a doll, and he's already getting so big! Have a safe trip and have fun.

Thank you- you can have all the chest hair plugs that I will not buy...lol I do know a couple of men that have had hair plugs-they swore that it makes them feel younger and they are able to get better jobs because of the way they look. Could be-who knows? I kinda like bald men myself. lol

You are so right- if you don't go after what you want you will never get it!

Hope you have a great week. I am going to see three little loves of my own this next week, too. xo Diana

Lots of comments, but not in numerical order.

... I loved The Thorn Birds. I remember taking a shower right after I finished the book and standing there crying at the ending. I might need to re read it.
... seriously - beard plugs?

...I am debating on going natural with my hair color - yikes!

...enjoy visiting the love of your life!

We spend too much money on our hair! The places to remove it and the places to want it back if it's gone. No one seems to be happy. Don't even get started about all of the products to take care of it! Shampoos that strip it, and a plethora of products to put whatever "it" is back. Treatments, gels, mists, sprays...dryers, straighteners, curlers...perms, body... wigs, hair pieces, extensions, false eyelashes, painted on eye brow fails...and that's just for the head!!! Then, we have waxing, laser removal, chemical depilatories, razors... then there are hair plugs. Why can't we just strive to be clean and attractive and leave it at that? Isn't it odd that hair is given so much attention??? and given so much credit to one's personal and financial worth? How many millions of dollars are spent yearly on these services, supplies and products??? Good gravy...it could fund a small country!
