Lampshades From Coffee Sacks?

Why yes, I don't mind if I do . . .

A while back, (maybe March?) I painted and lined this rolling cart. To make the lining, I used some coffee sacks I had stashed away.

Since the coffee sacks were on the dining table and I hate putting stuff away, I begin to think about what I could do with the extra sack fabric that would use it up and I wouldn't have to put it away.

I'm dumb like that.

My go to fabric user-upper? Lampshades.

Fortunately I have quite a stash of lampshade frames to make lampshades with.

And you know what I think?

I think they ROCK!!!

They look great on these vintage lamp bases, don't you think?

If you want to know how I did these, you can find my tutorial for burlap shades here.

And for even more information about  covering vintage lampshade frames with fabric check out this post.

 In the meantime . . .

Are you going to hang out and watch the Ryder Cup with me this weekend? It's great fun!

Very cool...I love each one. Good for you for making something out of the stacks...my stacks are still sitting. ;)

Lol! Sitting stacks! Yeah, I have a few of those myself. Even worse, I have the draped stacks.....you know.....when you're trying to decide so you strew the stacks out all over a room with each piece carefully draped over every available surface and piece of furniture? And you sit in the middle of the room staring at all of it? And then the hub's walks in, sees the chaos and you sitting there with glazed eyes and a furrowed brow.....and, like the wise man he is, says nothing. Of course, that scenario requires a long-standing relationship of....oh, let's say, 30 some odd years before said husband reaches that level of wisdom (and instinct for self preservation). Lol!

Love the shades!

I love the shade, but I'm still processing the fact that you have multiple lamp shade frames on hand!

Will be pinning when I get to computer, with possible duplication after I read the tutorial and determine if I'm woman enough.
