Fix-Up #2 - Medicine Cabinet

Well here it is October 9th, I've committed to doing 15 quick fix-ups this month and I'm just now finishing project #2.   Guess I better light a fire under my butt.

I bought this medicine cabinet (4 years ago) at the Pottery Barn Outlet for $30.00 - an excellent price.  It was a little busted up around one of the hinges and was missing all of the inside shelving.   So (2 years ago) I fixed it up and hung it.  The finish was a little odd-ball for the bathroom so I've been meaning to paint it for a long time.

Here is what it looked like yesterday -

Here's what it looks like today -

Better huh?

A little Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in True White works wonders.

I think I need to get a new knob.  Ooo eeee - that could be project number three!

I love these cards that I framed years ago.  Here's what they say . . .

Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly.  G.K. Chesteriem
Imagination is more important than knowledge.  Einstein
Don't let your hears grow numb. Stay alert. It is your soul that matters.  Albert Schweitzer

I think I like the third one the best.  Which one do you like?

Do you think anyone will quote me after I die? I say lot's of important things - like "If I can't have a huge, luxurious, spa-like bathroom, my little black and white one will do."

Make something wonderful today!

The teen age boys from my youth used to light a fire under their butts and were amused for hours. Wonder if they have cute little medicine cabinets now?

Your little black and white bathroom is gorgeous. Love the new white cabinet against the black walls along with those lovely lights and the basket for towels.
I like the cute little handle too - though I don't want to dissuade you from another project.
Good luck with the rest !

GREAT job - and I love that knob, I would keep it as is, it looks perfect.

Nice bathroom!

GL with all your projects, it's never easy, like a buffet - our eyes and always bigger than our tummies, or in this case our ideas are always big than our time/budget/energy/space, etc.

Having a replicated medicine cabinet in your bathroom can be very useful in yourself. It will preserve you period of time in the days when you need to get prepared for your day, and it will not waste period of time in the evening when you are prepared to rest and relax.
